For the times they are a changin'

Now by the end of February The Average Joe's will have a new home, gone will be the limited blogger site, valiantly killed by the fully fledged HTML site.

It will be easier to use and nicer to look at, as well as having a guide on how to play each of our games/servers so you fit in a lot easier.

I can give you a preview of the MineCraft, thanks to some nice guy called "Herobrine" we have a nice illustrated guide to help you. I've posted 3 of the 12 pages up.

Bear in mind that we will only do guides for games that become a permanent addition to our collection.

Stay tuned as next week I may have a preview of the new site to wet your appetites.

Happy New Year.

Just for you, as a new years gesture we've decided to give you access to not only one TF2 server, but two. Not only that, but the new server is able to fit 32 people in it.

So what you waiting for, get in there and kill people.

Did we mention the killing is enhanced by the state of the art RTD system?

Also a quick farewell to HL2DM server, since it's been here it's been empty so it goes to the dog's.

Server Update #2.1

Well the MineCraft Beta is out and unfortunatly, the Hey0 plugin needs to be updated for it to work, even worse is that we won't get this plugin till the 24th. So for anyone who wanted MC goodness, you'll have to wait. Don't complain cos I'm on your side.

Anyway, good news is our TF2 server is getting an extra 4 slots soon, hopefully. Bloody thing is rammed at the moment so if you can't get in keep trying.

Also going to do some form of member sign up thingy for those who want to become members.

Server Update #2

Hi again, LongThumb here.

Over the course of the weekend TF2 got broken by an update so our server had a bit of a hitch and we had to remove sourcemod etc, yesterday we were told that the problem is now fixed and we have put them back on, if you experience any problems or crashes then please let us know.

Also, at some point today Notch is releasing the BETA of MineCraft, so once again the map will reset, this should be the last time it reset in a very long time. I know your getting fed up of the resets.

The L4D/2 server is doing very well, better than I expected, with stats like below:

It even beats our long standing TF2 server, so thank you guys for supporting us.

Whilst the L4D server is doing well the HL2DM one isn't, it has seen no action what so ever. So this server IS going next month, what will replace it I do not know.

One last thing. We need your support, to keep our server's up and running we need players and even members should you like us that much. So please don't hesitate to join.

Server Update #1

An early Christmas for you all, I've very recently (about 20 minutes ago) got my hands on the L4D/2 server as well as a HL2DM server.
So enjoy.
Aat the moment L4D/2 has every map on the list, these will be sorted at some point, also HL has 2 maps on there, again this will be sorted.

Currently there are no active mods on HL2DM.
There are however two active mods on L4D/2, these are explosive cars and RTD. RTD may go by tonight, although explosive cars will stay as it adds a little more realism.

So stop reading this and get on there.

MineCraft Server news.

We will be adding new disks in blade39 & blade21 for minecraft servers. This means that all servers on those blades will be shutdown tomorrow morning and Clanforge disabled, to prevent servers being restarted while we perform the move.
We are hoping that moving the minecraft worlds from the current SAS disks to SSD's will help counteract the problems introduced by the recent server "patch", which should be fixed in the next patch but we didn't want you guys to have to wait that long.

If the tests on these blades go well we plan to roll out SSD's for minecraft world across our machines in London and Amsterdam over the next few weeks.

Downtime for minecraft servers on these machine while we perform the move will be between 09:00 GMT and 10:00 GMT.

Update @ 10:20 GMT - It looks like this is going to take several hours due to the number of very small files each world has. We will update the news once this process is complete

This is the reason you can't get on it. Notch still hasn't given the update that he promised for monday so the good people at MultiPlay have decided to fork out thier own money and by SSD's so we can enjoy thier servers.  Thanks guys, hope all goes well with the transfer.

MineCraft News

Just a little heads up, the server will be backed up within the hour so if your disconnected then that's why.

Also some time tonight I will be testing minecarts and tracks to see what effect they have on the server as well as trying out new addons. The minecarts/tracks may cause the server to stop working and if so I will have to restore the backup.

So please be patient.
